GALLERIES
At the Campbell Gallery, “Two Artists – Two Voices Inspired by Song” coincides with The Big Ponderoo, a Celebration of Americana Music, and the quilt show. Two local quilters: Helen Bishop Brisson and Judith Beaver, depict music in their designs. Helen creates unique material by dying, printing, and painting. “Working outside the box is fun and creates challenges,” Helen says. “Color, pattern, play, and music make for a successful day in the studio” says Judy, “I work intuitively, allowing the piece to transform as it progresses.”
The Stitchin’ Post Fiber Arts Gallery features art by the dynamic mother–daughter duo, Jean Wells and Valori Wells, whose shared passion for color, texture, and design has helped shape the quilting and fiber arts world for decades. Jean, founder of the Stitchin’ Post and a pioneering voice in contemporary quilting, brings her intuitive, nature-inspired artistry, while Valori infuses the show with her bold, hand-crafted prints and globally influenced textile designs. Together, their work reflects both a deep creative bond and two distinct artistic voices—woven into a vibrant, inspiring collection.

The Rickards Gallery’s Taylor Manoles is endlessly inspired by landscapes. “Spending time outside and painting are intertwined as a celebration of God’s beauty and goodness. My artwork explores themes of faith and the human experience through contemporary landscapes,” says Taylor. See how she finds beauty in the moments between longing and presence, never forsaking our sense of wonder.
Sisters Gallery and Frame welcomes the Batchelders: botanical/eco printed natural fiber art created by Belinda Overall Batchelder of Just B Designs and sparkling stained glass by Terry Batchelder. Belinda creates botanic prints on natural fibers using science and a unique alchemy that allows plants (many of which she grows on her property) to express themselves as prints on fabric. She incorporates both flowers and leaves on natural fibers such as silk, linen, wool, and cotton. Terry works with stained glass to create pieces that are inspired by nature, using light to reveal their beauty. He also creates solid oak frames for his work.
Toriizaka Art showcases traditional indigo katazome or Japanese stencil dying by Karen ilman Miller. Katazome was most often a village craft, used for futon covers and other household items, as well as summer yukata. Karen began to explore katazome with a class taught by a Japanese indigo dyer in 1995. “Carving that first stencil was a turning point in my artistic life and I have never looked back,” she says. Katazome allows her to separate the production of the image from the application of color, a process more akin to printmaking than to painting.
Hood Avenue Art features jeweler Danica Thomas, pastel painter JoAnn Burgess, and glass artist Nancy Dasen. Each artist will showcase a curated selection of their work, reflecting the diverse range of styles, perspectives, and creative voices in Central Oregon.
Wildflower Studio features new work by Mark Seekins – prints highlighting the Sisters in an individual format – along with framed prints and cards. Also, new jewelry from Common Form and Derive, diffusers, room sprays and new ready-made frames.
