Christine Funk
I grew up in Oregon and have always taken walks in nature. I love taking close-up photos of flowers, the vibrate colors catch my eye. For years I have worked around artist in the film industry and now for over 10 years around guitar makers. I knew there was a creative part of me waiting to find the right medium and recently I found it… I started making glass on glass mosaics because I love color and light mixed together. I use older glass from Bullseye out of Portland, Oregon and look to my flower bowls I create in my garden as one of my inspirations. I converted part of my greenhouse into my glass art studio and love to work out there into the night.
“I am inspired by color and light in nature. Glass on glass art is a perfect medium for my imperfection and doodling state of mind. The shape and color of the pieces come one at a time.”
You can find my pieces hanging in the amazing store called Bedouin in Sisters, owned by Harmony. I will create commissions if interested. Contact me HERE.
