The March 27 Artwalk is cancelled - of course.
The board of Sisters Arts Association has cancelled this month’s Fourth Friday Artwalk through the galleries of Sisters. We take the advice of Governor Kate Brown seriously, to limit large gatherings. We thank you, our galleries, our supporting businesses, and our patrons, for supporting us each month by socializing and partaking of the Artwalk. And when this period of social isolation is over - whether it’s weeks or months - we will be back.
We’re all in this together. We encourage art lovers and our gallery patrons to make a special effort to support our local galleries and local artists whose work you enjoy each month. Art can offer solace and comfort during difficult times. Our galleries, along with all small businesses and shops in Sisters, rely on your patronage to remain vital in our local economy. Whenever possible, SAA encourages you to shop locally.
As much as possible, we are all trying to stay open for business, through online sales, take-outs, and deliveries, as applicable. We welcome your visits as appropriate, and we thank you for purchases now more than ever. We are doing our part to remain the happy places, and the creative spaces that you want to visit. But no matter what, do what is best for you and your families. Stay safe.
So for now … Stay home. Get creative. Read or make something. Finish Works-in-Progress. Write letters. Catch up on tasks. Whatever you do to fill your time, please be safe. We will see you when the time is right.
