Sisters Arts Association’s Fourth Friday Artwalk occurs this week. Galleries are open and welcome you to visit with their featured artists. This is an All-Day Artwalk, with some galleries open for extended hours and artist demonstrations up until 7 p.m.

Maps are available in all gallery locations. When you stop at each one, register (or sign up) for SAA’s Quick Draw. Two $50 gift certificates will be awarded after the Art Walk, and may be redeemed at any of the participating galleries. A donation from Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty in Sisters funds the Quick Draw.

Hood Avenue Art’s featured artists are painter JoAnn Burgess, jewelers Elyse and Steven Douglas, and jeweler Sharon Reed. JoAnn explores her love of nature, color, and texture in pastels. Elyse and Steven’s favorite gem is the Oregon Sunstone with its amazing array of colors. Sharon fashions jewelry using beautiful stones and fossils from around the world. From 4 to 7, JoAnn will break out her pastels for a hands-on demo where you can explore your inner artist and pick up some tips from a pro. Fiddler Bob Baker will provide entertainment.

The Collection Gallery welcomes you to see new works by sculptor and painter Gary Cooley, and painter Clarke Berryman and photographer Lisa Belt.

Marigold + True is a boutique focusing on artisan products that support makers, with an emphasis on small batch production, including beautiful dresses, scarves, baby clothes and toys, handbags, blankets, and more.

This month, The Clearwater Gallery is hosting a private party on the Fourth Friday, but welcomes visitors to stop by at any other time to see the featured work of landscape painter Dan Rickards.

Beacham’s Clock Co. is featuring clocks by J. Steven Hunt, an artist from Salem who makes whimsical, one-of-a-kind fun clocks in many themes.

This month, The Stitchin’ Post Fabric Arts Gallery features new work by Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show Founder Jean Wells and her daughter, Valori, as they anticipate this year’s “Renewal” event on July 10. Pick up your SOQS merch, including posters, tote bags, and t-shirts!

2021 marks the thirteenth year that Kimry Jelen’s art is the centerpiece of the Oregon High Desert Classics, a hunter-jumper show that is the primary fundraiser for JBarJ Youth Services in Central Oregon. Kimry’s work is closely associated with the annual event in Bend, but it also tells her own story, of a young girl infatuated with horses, who rejected a career as a fashion graphic designer in favor of a life filled with training horses, painting horses, and travel. She will be the featured artist at Sisters Gallery and Frame Shop this month, and will be showing “Capilano,” this year’s JBarJ Poster Boy. Capilano, and his owner/trainer Lindsey Garner, have won the Grand Prix four years in a row. Kimry will be selling and signing collectable High Desert Classics posters, and Eva Gill will be representing JBarJ and their many youth programs.

Also at Sisters Gallery and Frame, Prismacolor pencil artist Mike Stasko will unveil the third in his Seasons of Sisters Series, fresh from the framer Dennis Schmidling’s shop. Both the Winter and Spring pieces have been sold. Collectors, look forward to this one!

Ken Scott’s Imagination Gallery will host oil and watercolor painter Gary McPherson. He will demonstrate and unveil his latest work. Gary relocated to Central Oregon after losing his home and studio in the Paradise fires of 2018. He is a welcome addition to the Imagination Gallery.

Observe the fine details of Bryan Lee Brown’s Mokume Gane work, such as the snake pendant, in his Metals Jewelry Gallery, Brown follows a time-treasured process using fine metals to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Upstairs in the same building, artist Jill Neal will open her gallery to show several new paintings.

Wildflower Studio spotlights original paintings by Kathy Deggendorfer. Kathy uses vivid watercolors and patterns to interpret the beauty of local landscapes.

Raven Makes gallery offers first market Native American and Indigenous artists’ works, including fine jewelry, from the Arctic to Northern Mexico, in contemporary, meaningful, and diverse mediums.

Dyrk Godby grew up as an Idaho cowboy, rode the rodeo circuit, and sang with such artists as Johnny Cash. Now his life is focused on Western Art. Stop by for a great story, a lyrical song, or to just explore his fine art.

“Americana Folk Heroes,” a collection of work by textile artist Leotie Richards is displayed through July 25 in the Cindy and Duncan Campbell Gallery at Sisters Art Works. The gallery will be closed this Friday, as the Sisters Folk Festival stages its first Summer Festival Concert, featuring Freddy and Francine, and Sierra Ferrell.

There will be a total of nine concerts between June 25 and August 15. SAA artists will be showing and selling their art at each of the Folk Festival’s summer concerts. For more information on which artists will be at each event click HERE.

Sisters Gallery Maps are available in galleries, the Chamber of Commerce, .and many businesses in town. The map is also available on on our website HERE.

This month, SAA’s popular Quick Draw is back, awarding two $50 Gift Certificates, good at any participating gallery. Visitors can register once per gallery, during their stroll. SAA thanks Cascade Sotheby’s  International Realty in Sisters for underwriting this year’s Quick Draw.
