Well, we couldn’t be fooled for too long. It’s still winter in Sisters, and the Fourth Friday Art Stroll is still taking place, Feb. 23 from 4 to 7 p.m. Fine art, good food, and great company are to be shared.
Hood Avenue Art features handcrafted jewelry with semi-precious stones by Sharon Reed, and cute, whimsical animal portraits by watercolorist Vivian Olsen. Enjoy live music and free refreshments during the Art Stroll. This exhibit runs through March 21.
Beacham’s Clock Company will be open and visitors will be able to get tours of clock making. Ed presently is building five flat-top calendar large wall clocks.
Gary Cooley is back in town after a successful Las Vegas show, and with some new work at The Collection Gallery. His new sculptures include two kudus (one with a contemporary patina, and one with traditional patina) and the warthog.
The Clearwater Gallery is glowing with stained glass works. Stop by for light refreshments, and maybe stay for dinner at The Open Door.
Sisters Gallery & Frame has new Paul Alan Bennett original paintings from The Constellation Series. Come by to see “Kayaker Under the Constellation of Leo,” “Blue Dusk with Cancer and The Dog Star,” “Under Orion’s Belt,” and “Summer Lake.” Jennifer Hartwig will also be on hand, demonstrating her amazing scratchboard techniques.
At Jill Neal Gallery – Over the sun, under the moon, three horses fly in a new work called "Red Sun Three". It is just one of several new horse paintings just painted by Jill Neal.
Nature's Bling is showing some spectacular aquamarine from Pakistan and Marc just finished the "Oregon Only" corner, showcasing beautiful agates, jasper, thunder eggs and other mineral specimens that are mostly local. Jewelry created by Candy Park and Mani Pureheart from Bend will be on display at special prices Friday only.
Wildflower Studio will be displaying new art and gift products including candles, lotion bars, and embellished mirrors in the studio’s Art Boutique. Also featured: new pastels and oils by Jane Chase and Sandy Melchiori. Wine and appetizers will be served.
Sisters Rodeo Artist Dyrk Godby will be showing some new paintings and a couple of new leather pieces in his gallery.
